The Waste Management Phoenix Open, otherwise known as the self-titled ‘Greenest Show on Grass’, returns to TPC Scottsdale for the 33rd time. A strong field will tee off in the desert, including defending champion Gary Woodland and Arizona State’s Phil Mickelson, who makes his 30th appearance.
The tournament is held at TPC Scottsdale, near Phoenix, Arizona.
In 2018, Gary Woodland beat Chez Reavie with a par on the first hole of a playoff on Sunday.
Two South Africans – Branden Grace and Charl Schwartzel – are in the field this week that includes former winner Hideki Matsuyama (2016 and 2017), Spain’s Jon Rahm, Rickie Fowler, as well as the top two in the FedExCup – Xander Schauffele and Matt Kuchar.
