How South Africa’s overseas contingent performed over the past week.
The Senior Open Championship (Major championship)
Ernie Els finished with a share of third on eight under par at Gleneagles, two shots behind Northern Irishman Darren Clarke, who won his maiden senior Major title. The 52-year-old South African carded rounds of 66, 69, 69 and 68.
James Kingston ended on four under (T12), Retief Goosen on three under (T16) and David Frost on four over (T41), while Chris Williams missed the cut.
The Amundi Evian Championship (Major championship)
Ashleigh Buhai‘s 11 under par was good enough for a share of 15th at the Evian Resort Golf Club in France. The fourth women’s Major of the year was won by Canada’s Brooke Henderson (17 under).
Lee-Anne Pace and Paula Reto both failed to make the cut.
Cazoo Classic (DP World Tour)
Darren Fichardt and Richard Sterne both finished on seven under for a share of 20th position, seven shots behind the winner, Scotland’s Richie Ramsay.
JC Ritchie ended on two under, Zander Lombard on one under, Oliver Bekker on three over and Wilco Nienaber on six over.
Bryce Easton, Thriston Lawrence, Louis de Jager and Jacques Blaauw all missed the weekend cut.
Big Green Egg German Challenge (Challenge Tour)
Deon Germishuys was the highest-placed South African at Wittelsbacher Golfclub in Germany with his five-under-par total good enough for a share of 34th.
He finished 12 shots behind Spaniard Alejandro Del Rey and Poland’s Mateusz Gradecki, with the former winning the playoff on the second hole.
Ruan Conradie ended on two over (T60), while Pieter Moolman, Keenan Davidse, Tristen Strydom, Rupert Kaminski and Jayden Schaper all failed to make the cut.
3M Championship (PGA Tour)
South African Dawie van der Walt finished on three under par for a share of 38th place at TPC Twin Cities in Minnesota, 14 shots behind the winner, American Tony Finau.
Dylan Frittelli and Garrick Higgo both missed the weekend cut.

Price Cutter Charity Championship (Korn Ferry Tour)
MJ Daffue carded an eight under 280 at Highland Springs Country Club in Springfield, Missouri.
The tournament was won by American David Kocher, who finished on 28 under, six shots clear of his closest competitors.
