Tiger Woods will have a new man on the bag for his first start of the season in the Genesis Invitational at the Riviera Country Club.
With his former man, Joe LaCava, no longer an option after he was given Woods’ blessing to work full-time for Patrick Cantlay last May, the legendary golfer appears ready to start a new partnership, at least in the short term.
Woods confirmed on Tuesday that Lance Bennett would be on the bag this week. The veteran caddie has worked for Bill Haas, Zach Johnson and most notably Matt Kuchar when he won the 2012 Players Championship.
Recently, Bennett has worked for Sungjae Im and Davis Riley and depending how the pair mesh, Bennett could be used at other events that Woods is expected to try and play, including The Players Championship and The Masters.
Woods also recently unveiled his new apparel line with TaylorMade.
