Tiger Woods was ‘pretty pissed off’ after seeing his 2018 Ryder Cup winless run continue on Saturday despite him performing well at Le Golf National.
Woods was joined by out-of-form Patrick Reed for the fourballs on Saturday, a repeat of their match against Moliwood from Friday’s first session.

The result was the same as the European combination cemented their cult status with a 4 & 3 win.
Woods then traded Reed for unconventional rookie Bryson DeChambeau and was smacked 5 & 4 once more by Moliwood in the foursomes as Europe stretched to a 10-6 lead with the singles to come.
‘Just pretty pissed off, the fact that I lost three matches, and didn’t feel like I played poorly,’ said Woods.
‘That’s the frustrating thing about matchplay. We can play well and nothing can happen. We ran against two guys that were both playing well and when one was out of the hole, especially in best-ball, the other one made birdie and vice versa.
‘They did that a lot to us. At one point, they made six out of eight birdies on the back nine, and only one person was in the hole at a time. That’s the nature of matchplay.’
Woods now has rookie Jon Rahm in his way with both winless players looking to end the week with a win. The pair goes head-to-head in the fourth game of the session.
‘We’ve got some work to do tomorrow,’ said Woods.
‘Hopefully we can get off to a quick start and get up in some of these matches, and turn the tide a little bit.’
