Justin Walters made two late bogeys coming home at the Turkish Airlines Open to sign for 70 on Friday, making the weekend in a share of 19th place on four under par.
The 36-year-old shot 32 on the front nine, including birdies at the first, fifth and sixth holes of Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort.
First-round leader George Coetzee slipped into a share of 13th with a round of 73, while Thorbjorn Olesen took over the reins with an incredible round of 62.
The Dane was 15 under par after two rounds, six shots better than second-placed Adrian Otaegui and Thongchai Jaidee. Haotong Li, Matteo Manassero, David Horsey and Joakim Lagergren were tied for fourth place.
Walters has a good opportunity to fire on moving day. At 94th in the Race to Dubai he needs a good result, with anything in the top five securing his spot at the Nedbank Golf Challenge next week.
Brandon Stone salvaged his tournament with a round of 68 on Friday and clawed his way to a share of 41st place on one under par. Richard Sterne joined him there with rounds of 71 and 70.
