Jaco van Zyl shot 70 on Saturday and joined a tie for 38th place the Olympic Men’s Golf Competition, with one round to play before the medals are dished out.
The Johannesburg local was two-over-par for the tournament, and rose eight spots on the leaderboard, while Bubba Watson had the clubhouse lead on six-under-par.
Brandon Stone climbed into the top 50 with a round of level-par 71, and will surely look to break 70 on Sunday.
