15-time Major champion Tiger Woods has made the Forbes top 10 list for the highest-paid sportsmen in the world for 2020.
Woods is one of four golfers to crack the 100-person list, which annually provides a good indication of just how much athletes earn throughout a year for their heroics on the sports field.
Roger Federer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi complete the top three, while Woods, who had a phenomenal year on the PGA Tour, comes in at No 8.
The American completed one of the greatest sporting comebacks at Augusta National in April last year when he won the coveted Green Jacket for the fifth time in his career.
In total, Woods earned a whopping $62.3 million (R1.08 billion) last year with $60m of that coming from endorsements, according to Forbes.
New world No 1, Rory McIlroy, was also rewarded for his impressive 12 months on the PGA Tour, where he won the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup, with a spot as the 14th highest earner of 2020.
The Northern Irishman’s consistency had him take home $52m in the process and ultimately moved him to the summit of the World Golf Rankings at the beginning of the year.
Phil Mickelson, 25th, is another golfer on the Forbes list, while 2015 Masters winner Jordan Spieth sits in 52nd place, despite enduring a winless season on the PGA Tour.
