Francesco Molinari, Tony Finau and Tiger Woods will form a showpiece thsreeball for the final round of the 2019 Masters at Augusta National on Sunday.
Molinari surged into a two-shot lead after a flawless third round that included four birdies in a row on the back nine and a closing sand save from 35 yards.
The Open champion moved past Tony Finau, who earlier was one of three players to sign for a 64, and Tiger Woods. The 14-time Major champion stalked around the Alistair Mackenzie design with his usual predatory instincts as he birdied the 16th to join Finau at -11.
The final group will present Woods with something of a rematch after he played alongside Molinari at the Open Championship where the Italian never put a foot wrong en route to the Claret Jug.
The winner is likely to come from this final group but Brooks Koepka, Webb Simpson and Ian Poulter will be desperate to rewrite that script. The group is after the groups of Louis Oosthuizen, Dustin Johnson and Rickie Fowler and Matt Kuchar, Justin Harding and Xander Schauffele.
The South Africans made a number of mistakes on Saturday which halted their progress and have familiar looks to their day with Fowler (68) joining the same group from Saturday and Matt Kuchar joining the pair of Harding and Schauffele.
