Jordan Spieth moved to the top of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am leaderboard after a second-round 67 on Friday.
The three-time Major champion started his round three shots off the pace, hoping to build on his solid opening on Thursday.
Overnight-leader Patrick Cantlay struggled to repeat his efforts from the opening round, which provided the opportunity for Spieth to make a move for the top.

Playing at the Spyglass Hill course, Spieth made six birdies and dropped one shot across his 18 holes to settle for a round of five under par.
It surged him to 12 under par for the event where he will take a one-shot lead into Saturday’s moving day in California.

Daniel Berger will head into the weekend on 11 under, hoping to build on his first two rounds of 67 and 66, while Henrik Norlander remains in contention on 10 under par.
South Africa’s Branden Grace managed to survive the cut and had a really good second round, where he shot a three-under-par 69.
He will start Saturday’s action on four under for the week and in T25.
