Charl Schwartzel (+1)
The 2011 Masters champion made an excellent start to his moving day in Georgia by making a birdie on the opening hole to move even par for the week. It was an early confidence booster for Schwartzel, who looked eager to get under par at the event. Bogeys on 5 and 7 unfortunately halted his progress but he again responded with a birdie on the 8th hole.
Schwartzel again moved even with a birdie on the 16th but another bogey a hole later saw him sign off with an even-par round of 72 .
Louis Oosthuizen (+2)
2012’s runner-up enjoyed a bit of a rollercoaster day out at the Masters with two birdies and two bogeys across his 18 holes. A birdie on the 10th put him one over for the week but instead that gain was eliminated by an immediate bogey on 12.
At the par-5, 15th hole, Oosthuizen had a long putt for eagle after reaching the green in two. His first attempt fell way short, before he missed the birdie opportunity, three-putting towards a par. He ultimately also signed with a round of 72.
Christiaan Bezuidenhout (+4)
The 26-year-old showed positive signs early on in his round but in the end struggled during the middle parts where his week’s efforts all but crashed. A birdie on the 2nd hole was followed by four bogeys, the last of which came on the 10th, that had Bezuidenhout in trouble on five over par.
He managed to hit back with a birdie on the par-5, 13th hole before four straight pars saw him sign off with a third-round 74.
