Sei Young Kim captured her second LPGA Tour title of the season with a playoff victory over Spain’s Carlota Ciganda after both players ended regulation holes at 17-under-par.
Kim started the round one shot behind overnight leaders Lexi Thompson and In Gee Chun before making her move on the front nine, where she carded two birdies and avoided dropped shots.
The 23-year-old turned at 16-under-par and tied for the lead before adding further birdies at the 11th and 14th.
Ciganda, meanwhile, had completed her round without a dropped shot to card a four-under-par 67.
Kim, on the other hand, bogeyed the eighteenth to drop into the playoff. The 2015 LPGA Tour rookie of the year kept her composure and his an approach to three feet on the first extra hole. She converted for birdie to capture her fifth LPGA title.
