• Rose talks up Honma after TM exit

    Justin Rose signs for Honma
Rose will have 10 Honma clubs in his bag

Justin Rose is confident of a smooth transition after penning a multi-year partnership with Japanese-based golf company Honma Golf.

The Englishman has officially left TaylorMade after 20 years, which included the 2013 US Open, 2016 Olympic Gold, the 2018 FedEx Cup, and moving into the world’s top spot in 2018.

‘I’m extremely excited to be joining Honma,’ said Rose.

‘Coming off one of my best years professionally, I wanted to make it a point to get better. I believe Honma equipment and the legendary Honma craftsmanship can help make me better.’

Honma, founded in 1959, sells high-end golf clubs, with Rose now becoming the first marquee golfer to represent the company.

A Honma representative’s ‘best guess’ has Rose’s new bag looking like the following:

    · Honma T//World 747 460 driver (9.5 degrees)

    · Honma T//World 747 V iron (prototype) 4-6 iron

    · Honma T//World 747 Rose Proto MB 7-9 irons

    · Honma T//World 747 Rose proto wedges (47, 56, 60 degrees)
