The RBC Heritage has confirmed that the world’s five best-ranked players have committed to take part in the event in South Carolina, starting next week.
The PGA Tour will restart its season at the Charles Schwab Challenge on Thursday – after a nearly three-month layoff due to the Covid-19 pandemic – as the first of the big tours to get the ball rolling again.

With its resumption, though, has come a great deal of interest from the best players in the world, who are all eager to earn some points with the Official World Golf Ranking also operating again.
This led to Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Justin Thomas and Dustin Johnson confirming their participation in next week’s Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links.
McIlroy will make his first appearance in 11 years after competing as a 19-year-old back in 2019, while Rahm and Koepka will participate in the event for the very first time.
Thomas, who currently occupies second in the FedEx Cup standings, will feature for the third time at the Heritage with Johnson, who is a RBC team ambassador, hoping to go one better than last year when he finished as runner-up behind CT Pan.
