Jacques Kruyswijk will take a two-shot lead into Sunday’s final round at the 2020 Limpopo Championship, played at the Euphoria Golf & Lifestyle Estate, writes ANDRE HUISAMEN.
The 27-year-old followed up his 64 on Friday with another consistent round of 69 on Saturday that included four birdies on the front nine.
Kruyswijk found the back nine a bit more difficult, however, and dropped a shot on the par-four 16th hole.
He would finish his third round on 16 under par.
Hot on his heels is the defending champion JC Ritchie, who finally saw his recent form come to the show on Saturday after a magnificent bogey-free round of 67.
Ritchie carded five birdies over the 18 holes and will certainly eye top spot when play ends on Sunday.
He is T2 alongside Louis de Jager on 14 under, after the latter had a somewhat tough day out on the course to come home with a 71.
De Jager shared the overnight lead with Kruyswijk but found it tough to get his third round properly going – dropping three shots in the process.
Nonetheless, De Jager is part of a big group of players, who are still in with a shot of winning the Limpopo Championship on Sunday.
A solid fourth round can still even have Wilco Nienaber and Hennie du Plessis contending for the title – they are T4 on 12 under par.
