The PGA TOUR returns to Canada for the 2019 RBC Canadian Open at Hamilton Golf and Country Club where Erik van Rooyen will be looking for US form ahead of next week’s Major.
Van Rooyen continues to impress after adding another strong finish at the PGA Championship to his CV. The world No 90 has two top 5s and two top 10s in his last eight events, including his T8 finish at Bethpage Black.
Now, after qualifying for the US Open on Monday, he joins Dylan Frittelli and Tyrone van Aswegen in the field ahead of Pebble Beach. The latter two will need a win to book their place.
The trio of South Africans will face stiff competition, with defending champion Dustin Johnson headlining in a field that includes Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas and Brooks Koepka.
