Haydn Porteous fired a third-round 68 at Royal Troon to climb into a share of 44th place at The Open, early on Saturday.
First off the tee, the Joburg Open winner opened up with three birdies at the second, third and fourth. He dropped a shot at the eighth before another birdie came at the ninth.
After the turn, Porteous birdied the 10th but dropped a shot at the 11th. He went on to pick up birdies at the 16th and 17th before ending his round with a disappointing double-bogey at the closing hole. His round leaves him at one-over-par for the tournament and he sits alongside fellow countryman Branden Grace.
