Lee-Anne Pace shot a four-under-par 68 on Thursday at the HSBC Women’s Champions and rose into a share of third place at the close of round one.
The 10-time Sunshine Ladies Tour winner made a lone bogey at the third hole at Sentosa Golf Club in an otherwise flawless round of golf to move within a stroke of leaders Candie King and Minjee Lee.
Pace recently won consecutive titles at the Joburg Open, Cape Town Open, and Dimension Data Challenge to reaffirm thats he is SA’s top female golfer.
She then flew across to Thailand to begin the Asian leg of the LPGA season and continued to impress, finishing in a tie for 18th place at the Honda LPGA.
This week she’s off to a great start at the HSBC Women’s Champions and looks set to dominate in a similar fashion to what she does on home soil.
