Louis Oosthuizen, Branden Grace and Charl Schwartzel will fly the South African flag at the WGC-Dell Match Play at Austin Country Club.
The South African trio were handed tricky groups with Oosthuizen drawn against in-form Japanese star Hideki Matsuyama, Ross Fisher and Jim Furyk in Group 4.
Schwartzel must prevail against Paul Casey, Byeong-Hun An and Joost Luiten for a place in the knockout rounds.
Brandt Snedeker, William McGirt and Andy Sullivan are in Group 15 along with SA’s top-ranked player Branden Grace.
Jason Day defends his title this week, but has countryman and last week’s winner, Marc Leishman, for company in Group 3. Lee Westwood and Pat Perez complete the foursome.
World number one Dustin Johnson is in an all-major winning group with Jimmy Walker, Martin Kaymer and Webb Simpson, while Rory McIlroy has Emiliano Grillo, Gary Woodland and Soren Kjeldsen in Group 2.
