The Memorial Tournament will become the first event on the PGA Tour to allow spectators to attend, following approval by the state of Ohio on Friday.
The tour is set to restart a revised season schedule next week at the Charles Schwab Challenge, but will only allow galleries once the Memorial gets under way at Muirfield Village Golf Club on 16 July.
PGA announces John Deere Classic replacement
Organisers of the Memorial on Friday posted the announcement on Twitter, saying the state approved the attendance of patrons at the event and is in full support of the resumption of the PGA Tour.
Fans are expected to undergo regular screening and temperature checks once they arrive at Muirfield, while wearing chips that will monitor social distancing.
