It’s that time of the year when the warm waters of the Indian Ocean welcome the European Seniors tour to the new look Constance Belle Mare Plage hotel.
Situated on the eastern coastline of Mauritius the hotel and Legend Golf Course have undergone a dramatic facelift. The layout hosting the 48 tour players from across the globe had changes made to fairways and encroaching bushes, breathing new life into the layout as well as accessibility to numerous holes for spectators.
Being the final stop for the tour, the John Jacobs Trophy (Order of Merit winner) has already been wrapped up due to a stellar season by Paul Broadhurst. Rivalry, however, will still be strong amongst some of the biggest names on tour in attendance including Colin Montgomerie – last year’s winner – Paul Wesselingh and David Frost. The impressive field boasts four Senior Major winners, 31 European Tour winners, nine Ryder Cup players and one former European number one.
Equally impressive are the changes to the host hotel Constance Belle Mare Plage. A complete facelift from lobby entrance, bedrooms, suites and villas and restaurants across the property has created quite a stir with guests old and new.
It’s a week of golf where the Constance group welcomes the tour for what promises to be a decadent affair both on and off the course as the year comes to a close.
