Canadian Mackenzie Hughes has taken the first round lead at the Travelers Championship after a spectacular round of 60 on Thursday.
Hughes was draining putts from everywhere, including five consecutive birdies to finish his round off with as he finished on ten under par in his opening round.

The 29-year-old managed 15 out of 18 greens in regulation on the first day’s play, while he didn’t miss any putt within ten feet.
Hot on his heals, though, is a group of three players, who finished the day on seven under par and very much in contention so early into the Travelers Championship.
This includes World No 1 Rory McIlroy, Viktor Hovland from Norway and American Xander Schauffele, who all shot 63 in their opening round.
Two-time winner at the event Phil Mickelson is in T5 on six under par alongside South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen, who opened with a round of 64.
Oosthuizen hit 14 out of 18 greens in regulation, which included a brilliant shot out of the bunker on 17, which set him up for his seventh birdie of the day.
Fellow countryman Branden Grace finished the opening round on two under par and in T58, while both Dylan Frittelli and Charl Schwartzel will start their respective second rounds in T126 on one over par.
