The now poster boy for slow play on the PGA TOUR, Brooks Koepka, has once again taken a swipe at the tour’s problems with pace of play.

The current PGA Championship holder, one of three wins this year, leads the FedExCup race and has used his No 1 status to once more pick a fight with those who waste time preparing to play their shot.

‘I don’t think anybody likes waiting. Especially if you’re going to be sitting on a tee box for 15 minutes to hit your tee shot. I get that you can take a long time for your thought process but once you’re done thinking about it, just go. What else is there to do?’ questioned Koepka.

The 29-year-old also poked at the processes involved at the highest level suggesting there was very little natural flair about play.

‘It seems now that there are so many sports psychologists and everybody telling everybody that they can’t hit it until they are ready; that you have to fully process everything.

‘I mean, I take 15 seconds and go, and I’ve done all right. So I don’t understand how they are taking a minute and a half.’
