New Zealand golfer Ryan Fox had to wear a Springbok jersey after losing a Rugby World Cup final bet with his South African caddie.
The Boks beat the All Blacks 12-11 in the Paris decider to claim a record fourth global crown.
“This feels like blasphemy to me, to be honest,” said Fox, whose father Grant played flyhalf for New Zealand.
“We had a little bet on the final, no money at all, but purely pride. If the Springboks won I had to wear this for three holes in the [Nedbank Golf Challenge] pro-am. We all know the result.”
The Nedbank Golf Challenge starts on Thursday at the Gary Player Country Club at Sun City.
