Charl Schwartzel remains South Africa’s top-ranked golfer in the latest official world golf rankings and is joined in the top 100 by five other compatriots.
Schwartzel is joined in the top 50 by Branden Grace and Louis Oosthuizen with European Tour members Brandon Stone and Dylan Frittelli rounding out the South Africans in the top 100.
Wells Fargo Championship winner Brian Harman saw off Dustin Johnson with a thrilling birdie on the last hole for a move up to 52nd in the world. Harman’s second win on the PGA TOUR saw him climb up 41 spots to sit one spot below Englishman Lee Westwood.
Jon Rahm traded places with Alex Noren – after both players were in contention at Eagle Point – to move into a career-high 12th spot.
On the local front, Peter Karmis’ win in Swaziland saw him move up from 492nd in the world to 259th.
