South African golfer Dylan Frittelli has withdrawn from next week’s Rocket Mortgage Classic field after testing positive for coronavirus at this past weekend’s Travelers Championship.
Frittelli, who missed the cut at TPC River Highland, is now the fourth player on the PGA Tour to have contracted the virus since its resumption more than three weeks ago.

‘I am experiencing no issues and feel great physically and was surprised and disappointed to learn of the positive test today. I’m thankful for the WHOOP strap notification of a minor increase [0.3] in my respiratory rate overnight,’ said Frittelli.
‘However, I’m most thankful for the TOUR’s assistance, procedures and protocols, which I will continue to follow during my self-isolation, so as to keep everyone safe. I look forward to getting back on TOUR once it’s safe to do so.’
In a statement released on Sunday evening, the PGA Tour indicated that they will offer Frittelli their full support to ensure he receives the necessary medical treatment, while conducting contact tracing as a precaution for other members on the Tour.
