Dylan Frittelli walked away from the Open de France more than R1.5-million richer after a closing 68 gave him a share of 12th place on Sunday.

The Rolex Series proved to be every bit as lucrative as promised as Frittelli played his way to a cheque for R1,540,163 or €95,765. The former University of Texas star has been spending much of his 2018 season across the pond looking to try to play his way on to the PGA Tour but this weekend might give him a little more food for thought after earning well in a strong field.

It was a quiet week for the South Africans with nine players missing the cut. One of the handful to make the weekend, Richard Sterne, fired his only sub-par round on Sunday which lifted him to T31 and a cheque for R793,200.

George Coetzee showed a 10-shot improvement on Saturday as his closing 67 helped him to his share of the riches on offer. The reward for T44 was adding R515,821 to his season’s earnings.

A Friday 74 and a Saturday 76 quickly ended Dean Burmester’s run at a more substantial payday but he still took home R304,944 despite a T56 finish in Paris.

It wasn’t the week for rookie Jacques Kruyswijk but he was still able to cash in R248,172 after finishing T61.
