Tommy Fleetwood shot 31 on the stretch on Sunday to win the Abu Dhabi HSSBC Championship by one stroke, returning to the winner’s circle after a three-year hiatus.
‘I thought maybe the second win would come sooner to be honest,’ he said. It’s been a massive comeback. You keep knocking on the door and it will come. I didn’t really think it would be this week. It just shows a lot can happen in golf.’
The Englishman’s round took off when he chipped in for eagle at the 10<sup>th</sup> hole and he added three more birdies before signing for 67 and a one-shot victory over Dustin Johnson and Pablo Larrazabal.
‘I just thought keep going, you never know,’ said Fleetwood. ‘It’s a tough day really. The pins are tucked away and it’s very windy, especially at the start. The chip-in on ten, birdie on 11, changed everything all of a sudden from nowhere and I was leading.’

Dean Burmester capped off an incredible week with a round of 69 on Sunday for sole seventh and a cheque for € 75,805. He was 14 under par and three strokes off the winning total, putting his name above Henrik Stenson and Lee West wood on the leaderboard.
