American John Catlin secured a third European Tour victory on Sunday when he won the Austrian Golf Open in a playoff at the Diamond Country Club.
Catlin, who bagged two quick wins on tour last year in Spain and Ireland, enjoyed a stellar final-performance that propelled him into contention in Vienna.
The 30-year-old concluded his week with a seven-under-par 65 to move to the summit of the leaderboard, where he was joined by Germany’s Maximilian Keiffer on 15 under par.

The two players refused to give and inch and returned to the 18th hole for a total of five times with nothing to separate them.
But, Keiffer found himself in huge trouble on the fifth attempt when he found the water on the par-3 final hole where a bogey was enough for Catlin to claim victory.
