Sam Burns continued where he left off on Friday by strengthening his grip at the top of the Genesis Invitational leaderboard.
The American was dialled in once again and carded a second-round 66 to extend his overnight lead to 12 under par at the halfway stage.
Burns rolled in five birdies, without dropping a single shot and is in a strong position to secure his maiden PGA Tour win at Riviera over the weekend.

Charl Schwartzel recovered from his poor start on Thursday by shooting a second-round four-under-par 67 to move up to even par, narrowly making the cut for the weekend.
