Former champion Brooks Koepka has announced his withdrawal from next week’s US Open due to ongoing injury concerns.
Koepka made the announcement on his social media accounts on Wednesday evening as players begin preparations for the second Major of the year to be hosted at Winged Foot Golf Club.
The American’s season has been plagued with injuries, which also led to him withdrawing from the recent FedEx Cup playoffs.

‘Unfortunately, I have decided to withdraw from next week’s US Open. I’m looking forward to getting healthy and competing at 100% again very soon,’ read his post.
Koepka managed consecutive victories at the event back in 2017 and 2018 and boasts a solid record at local Majors, with two PGA Championship titles also to his name.
