Keegan Bradley carded an impressive seven-under-par 64 on Thursday to the take the lead after the opening round of the Valspar Championship.
The American enjoyed a solid day out at the Copperhead Course – making a steady start with two birdies on the front nine before he exploded into life after the turn.
Bradley went on a scoring run as he come home down the stretch – sinking five birdies on the final seven holes of his round to move to the summit of the leaderboard.

He will take a two-stroke lead into Friday’s second round, ahead of Emiliano Grillo, Ryan Moore, Hank Lebioda, Max Homa and Patton Kizzire, who are all on five under after the first round.
It was a solid start for South Africa’s Branden Grace as well, who carded an opening-round 69 to end the day on two under par and in T28.
Charl Schwartzel opened his account with a round of 70, while Louis Oosthuizen (+2) and Erik van Rooyen (+3) struggled a bit to get going on Thursday.
