Springbok superstar Cheslin Kolbe has signed an ambassadorship deal with a golf company in Japan that aims to support his social outreach initiatives.
On Tuesday, Value Golf – a Japanese golf and travel business – announced an ambassador contract with the double World Cup winner.
Kolbe – who is represented by world renowned agency Roc Nation Sports International – was a member of the victorious South African squad at the 2023 and 2019 Rugby World Cup tournaments, and has been playing for Japan Rugby League One’s Tokyo Suntory Sungoliath since this season.
“Our company, guided by the business philosophy of ‘bringing to life what people want to do’, adheres to the action principle of being ‘environmentally and socially friendly – always complying with social norms and contributing to the global environment,” a statement read.
“We strongly resonate with Kolbe’s commitment to social contributions through sports, leading us to the signing of this ambassador contract.”
