Fresh from his top-10 finish at Bay Hill Golf Club last week, Christiaan Bezuidenhout gears up alongside four other South Africans for the PLAYERS Championship.
Bezuidenhout enjoyed an excellent week at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, where he signed off in seventh place.
The 26-year-old will once again be relishing the opportunity to deliver a solid performance in the presence of the best golfers in the world.
Bezuidenhout made a cracking start to last year’s event before the PGA Tour called it off after the opening round due to Covid-19. He will tee off in a group consisting of himself, Ben An and Henrik Norlander on Thursday and Friday.

Louis Oosthuizen is also fairly full of confidence ahead of tee-off, following his T6 finish at the WGC-Workday Championship two weeks ago.
The 2010 Open champion finished as runner-up at TPC Sawgrass in 2017 when Kim Si-Woo won the event. Oosthuizen has been paired in an exciting group with Lee Westwood and Robert MacIntyre for the opening two rounds of the event.
Branden Grace would’ve liked to finish his week at Bay Hill on a better note, but the South African is still flying high after that victory at the Puerto Rico Open.
This week will provide the perfect challenge for Grace to have go at the big competitors again and show his worth on the PGA Tour. Grace will be one of the last groups out on the course on Thursday when he tees off alongside Sung Kang and Jimmy Walker.
Charl Schwartzel is another South African who once had to settle for second place at the PLAYERS Championship. He finished in a tie for second spot in 2018 when Webb Simpson stormed to a four-shot victory.
Schwartzel will be hoping for a good start on Thursday and Friday as he tees off with Doc Redman and Harry Higgs for the first two rounds.
Dylan Frittelli will complete the local contingent in action this week, eager to gain a bit of consistency. Frittelli has missed three out of four cuts so far this year and will need to be at his best at TPC Sawgrass to avoid that from happening again.
Frittelli is paired with Cameron Green and Keegan Bradley to get things going on Thursday.
