Two-time Major champion Angel Cabrera has reportedly been arrested in Brazil for committing a number of crimes.
It is believed that the Argentinian could face several charges of assault and theft, and could very well be extradited back to his home country in South America.
According to a BCC report, Cabrera had been on Interpol’s Red Notice list for quite some time and was arrested in Rio de Janeiro on Friday.

Cabrera had also been involved with intimidation acts against local authorities, crimes that will only stack against him should he go to trial.
He was also due to appear before a local Argentinian prosecutor last year for committing domestic violence against his wife, Cecilia Torres Mana, but has not been seen since.
Mana reported incidents of physical assult back in 2016 and filed a complaint of abuse against Cabrera. His two former partners also filed for similar charges to be taken up against him.
Cabrera won the US Open in 2007 and claimed the coveted Green Jacket in 2009 when he won the Masters at Augusta National.
