‘That was a little better, it was a fun round of golf,’ Aiken said on Friday.

‘Just went out there with the same game plan as yesterday, hit some good quality shots and really didn’t make many mistakes – that was the key.

‘There’s a lot of golf left, we’re only halfway there. Just keep doing what I’m doing and hopefully the putts keep going in, and make a few extra ones and hopefully at the top of the leaderboard by Sunday afternoon. It’s always nice to go bogey-free, especially on a golf course as friendly as this one.’

The final pair start Saturday with a healthy lead over the chasing pack at -5. South Africa’s Dylan Frittelli and Keith Horne are on -4 at the halfway mark.
