Jaco Ahlers shot 69 at PGA Catalunya Resort on Thursday to finish the European Tour Qualifying School on five under par and tied for 25th place.
He earned a tour card on the number and will compete on the European Tour throughout the 2017 season, which begins at the Alfred Dunhill Championship in December.
Ahlers began the round three shots shy of a card, but played a superb final round and shot 34 on the stretch to grab his playing rights.
Englishman Nathan Kimsey won the tournament after shooting 70 for a total of 13 under par, while second place was shared between Ricardo Gonzalez, Scott Henry, and Edoardo Molinari.
‘I literally have no words,’ said Kimsey. ‘Going out there today I was just trying to keep the nerves down and keep calm, keep making good swings, find greens and make it easy for myself just to stay in the top 25 – I couldn’t have even thought about winning at all.’

Zander Lombard started the day needing a round of level-par or better, but battled to a round of 76 and fell out of the prizes.
Dean Burmester took a double-bogey seven at the third hole, which scuppered his chances of success even though he made three birdies on the day.
Keith Horne, meanwhile, made no birdies and took one bogey on either side of the turn to join Burmester in a share of 37th place.
