The LPGA Tour on Friday announced additional changes to the schedule for the remainder of the year’s action as the Covid-19 pandemic continues to disrupt world golf.
Players were informed of the revised dates of events, with the next five events either postponed or cancelled.
The Pelican Women’s Championship, the ShopRite LPGA Classic and the Meijer LPGA Classic have all been or are in the process of being rescheduled for later this year, while the US Women’s Open, which was originally scheduled for the week of 1-7 June, has been moved to December.
Additionally, the Pure Silk Championship, due for the end of May, has been cancelled and will return to the tour as normal in 2021.
LPGA Commissioner Mike Whan in a statement thanked all involved parties for their understanding and adaptability to the pandemic’s consequences.

‘This has been a truly collective effort to reschedule tournament dates and work together to provide LPGA players with as many playing opportunities as possible once it is safe for us to resume competing again.
‘As we watch the world come together in this battle against this virus, we are so thankful for all of the support from our valued partners and we continue to wish for the health and safety of all the extended members of our global LPGA family,’ said Whan.
