    Past champions Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Tom Watson hit ceremonial tee shots on Thursday to open the first round of the 89th Masters.

    The trio of golf legends gathered at the 1st tee at Augusta National to launch shots into the early morning air ahead of the start of competition in the year’s first Major tournament, with a field of 95 chasing the Green Jacket symbolising Masters supremacy.
