Brandon Stone will bring R2,663,564 back to South Africa as he reaped the financial reward of a strong showing at the PGA Championship.
Stone’s final round 68 was enough to see him finish in the pack sharing 12th, a position which saw him add over R2.66m to his bank account.
He was not the only South African to leave Bellerive Country Club in St Louis, Missouri more than a million rand richer with Branden Grace matching Stone’s final round effort to bag R1,078,208 after he ended in the quartet sharing 27th place.
Dylan Frittelli was a shot further back as he made it three South Africans closing with a 68 on Sunday. The strong final round helped the Texas-based player bank R900,875 as he continues his bid to transition from the European Tour to the PGA Tour.
A disappointing final round saw Charl Schwartzel earn R472,160.
