Dean Burmester is the first South African off during round two with Louis Oosthuizen out at 19:14 on Friday at the US Open at Shinnecock Hills.

Burmester eagled his final hole to get his score back to +5 and sits one shot behind Oosthuizen as the leading two South Africans.
Now, the multiple Sunshine Tour winner will go out for his second round of Major championship golf needing to lay down a marker if he is to feature this weekend.

Burmester is off the 10th at 12:45 with Sam Burns and Brian Gay.
Oosthuizen has a much longer wait as he forms part of the afternoon field, which is expected to have the better weather conditions according to locals. He tees off at 19:14 alongside Jimmy Walker and Justin Rose, who is three shots better off than Oosthuizen, and only two behind the leaders, after an opening 71.

Before Oosthuizen, Dylan Frittelli is off at 19:03 with Doug Ghim and Jhonattan Vegas. Frittelli has a mountain to climb on his US Open debut after a horror back nine saw him slump to +8.
At 19:25, Branden Grace will start his recovery work after an opening 76 left him in danger of missing his first cut in 21 appearances. A birdie start was the highlight of Grace’s opening act as he succumbed to the wind and tough course conditions. Charl Schwartzel follows immediately after his countryman but has an even bigger task on his hands after blowing up to a 79 on Thursday.

Ernie Els, who sits alongside Frittelli at +8 after the opening round, tees off at 13:51.
