PUMA Golf’s continues to expand its successful IGNITE footwear collection, introducing a limited-edition version of its TITANTOUR IGNITE shoe equipped with PUMA’S innovative DISC technology, a laceless closure system that provides golfers with unrivaled comfort and a fully custom fit.
PUMA’s proprietary DISC technology offers an alternative closure system that seamlessly tightens the shoe, providing a secure and snug fit. With a turn of the DISC dial, the internal wire system tightens the upper, while a simple turn in the opposite direction, allows the golfer to easily loosen the shoe.
‘The TITANTOUR IGNITE DISC ensures a quick and secure fit; with a few simple turns the shoe is secure, comfortable and ready to go,’ said Grant Knudson, head of footwear & accessories, PUMA Golf. ‘We took the original PUMA DISC design and customized it for golfers. The result is a sleek, simple and strong closure system that tightens using smooth, steel wires that conform to the foot.’
The Limited-Edition DISC shoe (R3 749), comes in two, gradient print colourways with a sleek chevron graphic: Red Blast/White/Black and White/Black. Both colour options will be available at the Pro Shop and select On-Course Stores from August 15, 2016. PUMA designed the Red and Black colourway to be worn by PUMA sponsored athletes in all categories at the upcoming Olympic Games.
The TITANTOUR IGNITE shoe is also engineered with PUMA’s proprietary IGNITE foam, designed to deliver responsive cushioning, optimal rebound, and superior step-in comfort through every shot. The IGNITE collection provides 360o comfort and performance by adding a premium dual density PU sockliner that provides a customized fit, along with a PWRFRAME TPU outsole that encases the midsole for lightweight strength and durability, increased flexibility and superior traction. The outsole also boasts DUOFLEX, anatomically positioned flex grooves that allows the foot to move naturally while still providing support with a low-profile cleat made with K5 for long lasting abrasion resistance.
