The stories of Fleetwood and his late set of Nike VR irons are well-known, which has led to the Englishman exploring his options.
The ‘P-7TW’ identifier appeared on the irons in play as Fleetwood warmed up for his return to European Tour action this week. The irons bear Tiger Woods initials after TaylorMade created a prototype – TaylorMade TW-Phase1 irons – for the 14-time Major winner after he switched from the P-730 series blade irons.
The TaylorMade TW-Phase1 irons now appear to be re-stamped P-7TW.]
Also in Fleetwood’s bag was a set of Callaway Mack Daddy Forged wedges.
Woods, meanwhile, is only expected to return to competitive golf in next week’s Farmers Insurance Open.
