The Bushnell Hybrid Laser Rangefinder and GPS is helping players lower their scores by combining laser precision with GPS accuracy, writes WADE PRETORIUS.
After spending some time with the the product, it’s made me question how golfers – across all handicap levels but probably more applicable to the higher handicappers – could ever play a round without some help when it comes to distances.
One of the biggest mistakes high handicappers make is they don’t know how far they hit each ball. But what about standing over a shot and not knowing how far they should even try hit it?
There are many products out there and this has to be one of the very best – it is the first Laser Rangefinder and GPS combo device with a fully integrated display featuring both laser and GPS distances..
The feature that impressed me most was the JOLT that lets you know you have accurately lined up the flag. After that, knowing the distances to front, middle and back of the green really gave me confidence.
Despite the courses I played already being loaded, I would encourage readers to spend some time getting to know what the Hybrid can do. My first try was certainly not as good as the third and my frustrations at not knowing all the capabilities disappeared.
It’s obviously a pricey addition to your bag but then again, Christmas is around the corner.
