He may be only 21 years old, but Jordan Spieth, who won the Valspar Championship on Sunday, has recently shown that he has the maturity of a veteran professional golfer, especially when he managed to win back-to-back titles on two different continents in December.
The young Texan has long been touted as one to look out for since joining the PGA Tour in 2013 and winning the John Deere Classic that same season; but it was his performances throughout 2014 that earned him many followers.
His duel with Bubba Watson in the Masters, followed by his outstanding performance alongside Patrick Reed in the Ryder Cup, and lastly his strong finish to 2014 that included two wins on the trot emphasise that he will be a contender for the best golfer in the world for many years to come. And he has plenty of those remaining.
Spieth is a Titleist staff player and wears Under Armour apparel and footwear. His golf equipment is nothing flashy, which is what is expected from Titleist; however, it works – and very well at that.
