South Africa’s Garrick Higgo goes into the third round of the PGA Tour’s Corales Puntacana Championship four shots behind the leader, American Joel Dahmen.
Dahmen played bogey-free for the second straight day for a six-under 66 to set the tournament’s 36-hole record with a 16-under 128, also his career low.
Dahmen won the tournament in 2021, and another victory would be a boost. He narrowly kept his PGA Tour card last year and winning is worth a two-year exemption.
Michael Thorbjornsen matched his career best with a 63 and shared second with Higgo (68) and Charley Hoffman (66).
Higgo’s round included six birdies and two bogeys.
