The Masters champion receives more than just a Green Jacket after winning the tournament, as Golf Digest‘s director of digital content Jamie Kennedy reveals …
2. Engraving on the Masters trophy
Not the trophy itself, it stays at Augusta year round. First given to Arnold Palmer in 1961, the trophy is a replica of the Augusta clubhouse, made from 900 separate pieces of silver. Each winner’s name is added to the silver band on the base. pic.twitter.com/i653LvDtQz

4. Masters gold medal
Older than the tradition of the trophy or the green jacket, the gold medal dates back to the original Masters in 1934. The 3.5-inch medal features a raised image of the clubhouse on the front. pic.twitter.com/fF9thQYrEE

6. Invitation to the Champions Dinner
Started in 1952, after Ben Hogan’s first Masters victory, the Tuesday Champions Dinner is considered the most elite club in golf. The champion chooses the menu (but guests have the option of the club menu and many often just order steak!). pic.twitter.com/rstxE62kzt

8. A locker in the Champions Locker Room
With so many winners and such a small space, winners actually share lockers. For example, defending champion Scottie Scheffler shares a locker with 1971 winner Charles Coody and the late Byron Nelson. pic.twitter.com/SLHpx5Gktj

10. Lifetime invitation to the Masters
Win the Masters once and you receive that famous invitation for the rest of your days. Typically they retire from active play when they are no longer competitive. Bernhard Langer, for example, will play his last Masters this year, aged 67. pic.twitter.com/yZloq2wTgr

12. $3.6 million
The prize fund for the 2024 Masters was $20m. Scottie Scheffler took home $3.6m for winning. 10 years ago Bubba got $1.6m, 30 years ago Jose Maria Olazabal won $360k and 60 years ago Arnold Palmer won $20k. pic.twitter.com/uwZ2WTfqAX

14. Five-year PGA Tour exemption
While regular @PGATour wins come with a two-year exemption, The Masters comes with five years of PGA Tour exemptions (the same as the other three majors for the record). pic.twitter.com/NbJNJ9b1SK
