Germany’s Stephan Jaeger made 12 birdies and six pars at TPC Stonebrae on Thursday to become only the third player ever to shoot 58 in a professional tournament.
He averaged 341 yards off the tee, made 92 percent of his fairways, and hit the green in regulation 83 percent of the round. It was a near-flawless display to make history.
