Haydn Porteous couldn’t have asked for more from his first nine holes in an Open Championship after he turned in six-under-par to lead at Royal Troon Golf Club on Thursday.
The Joburg Open winner made two eagles on his outward nine to secure top spot on the world-class leaderboard, but faced the tougher nine after going out in 30 strokes.
