American Matthew Wolff has been disqualified from the Masters after signing an incorrect scorecard at Augusta National on Friday.
Tournament officials confirmed that the 21-year-old Wolff apparently signed for a lower score on the 17th hole than what he actually made.
‘Following his second round, Matthew Wolff returned a scorecard with a hole score lower than he actually made on hole 17. He was subsequently disqualified under Rule 3.3b(3),’ read a Masters statement on Twitter.
Wolff made bogey on the par four after a disastrous three-putt and suffered throughout the whole of his second round, sitting on 10 over par heading into the penultimate hole.
Wolff has yet to respond to the incident or his dq.
