Charl Schwartzel, Dylan Frittelli and Branden Grace will be the three South Africans chasing a big win at this week’s Genesis Invitational.
The PGA Tour focus will now be on the famous Riviera Golf Course, which has hosted many golfing spectacles in the past.
Schwartzel will make his fourth appearance of the year, hoping to kickstart a bit more consistency after a difficult opening to 2021.

The 2011 Masters champion has yielded results of T54, T18 and a missed cut at the American Express, Farmers Insurance Open and Phoenix Open events.
Schwartzel will be part of the very first group to tee off on Thursday, where he will play alongside Wyndham Clark and Sepp Straka for the first two rounds.
Frittelli has also been trying to find the right gear to get his season up and running again. After finishing 2020 on a high, the 30-year-old also had to work hard at the Farmers Insurance Open and Phoenix Open.
A T53 and a missed cut is what he could deliver so far, with the Genesis Invitational a good opportunity to finally show some of last year’s form.
Frittelli will tee off alongside Viktor Hovland and Corey Conners on Thursday.
Grace, though, fought back well during the past weekend’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am to secure a T34 finish on Sunday. Grace ended 2020 with an eighth place at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai before missing the cut at the Sony Open.
He will feature in a group with Alex Noren and Henrik Norlander for Thursday and Friday’s action.
